An expanded meeting of the Coordinating Council for Ensuring Law and Order and Combating Crime of East Kazakhstan Region "Law and Order: Priorities for cooperation and strengthening public safety" was held in Ust-Kamenogorsk.

          The meeting was organized in the format of a forum, which was attended by the head of the region N. Saktaganov, the leadership of the regional court, maslikhat, government agencies, universities, Commissioners for Human Rights and Children, representatives of non-governmental organizations, the business community, the media, as well as schoolchildren and students.

          Opening the meeting, Regional Prosecutor A. Baishulakov noted the special importance of the measures taken by the state to strengthen the principles of law and order, and also stressed the need to constantly raise the level of legal awareness and legal culture of citizens in order to form a respectful attitude towards the law in society.  

          In his welcoming speech, Akim of the region N. Saktaganov emphasized that the principle of law and order is an important guideline of the country's political course and a key mechanism for ensuring the stable development of society and the safety of citizens.

          During the forum, the heads of the supervisory authority, the Police Department, the Anti-Corruption Service and the Economic Investigation Service of the region informed the public about the measures taken to ensure legality, public safety and law and order in the region.

          Students of secondary schools No. 39In Ust-Kamenogorsk, Aliya Zhenisbekova and Samar Aizhan Anelkhan district presented to the attention of those present initiative projects aimed at ensuring the safety of children "Safe way to school" and "Electronic map of dangerous objects", which were positively evaluated and noted by the participants of the meeting with recommendations to the akimat and the Police Department to implement them throughout the region.

          At the dialogue platform, the participants exchanged views and suggestions on further promotion of the ideology of law and order, as well as on measures to strengthen public safety in the region.

          At the end of the event, the regional prosecutor noted with memorable gifts and letters of thanks individual representatives of non-governmental organizations, journalists and students for their active citizenship in crime prevention and contribution to strengthening law and order in the region.
