In honor of the 1155th anniversary of the birth of Abu Nasr al-Farabi, a personality hour titled “Abu Nasr al-Farabi – the Great Scholar of the East” was held in the Department for the Blind and Visually Impaired of the Saken Seifullin Library in the Zhetysu Region.

During the event, library staff spoke about the life and legacy of the great scholar, highlighting his contributions to philosophy, mathematics, music, logic, and other fields of science. Readers learned valuable information about al-Farabi’s significant role in the development of human civilization, his scientific insights, and why he is recognized as the “Second Teacher.”

The event was attended by regular readers of the department. Participants were spiritually inspired and deeply engaged with the scholar’s wisdom and his passionate pursuit of knowledge.
