Bilateral cooperation issues discussed with Lebanese Foreign Minister

On June 17, Kazakhstan's Ambassador to Lebanon Rasul Jumaly met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Emigrants of this country Youssef Raji. During the conversation the current state and future prospects of traditional friendship and mutually beneficial cooperation between the two countries were discussed. The head of the Lebanese Foreign Ministry, expressing feelings of respect for Kazakhstan, its balanced and active policy, confirmed his interest in expanding comprehensive ties with it. In particular, in addition to political partnership, Kazakhstan and Lebanon today have great potential for fruitful cooperation in the investment, trade, humanitarian and tourism spheres. To work out and specify these and other issues of mutual interest, it is planned to hold next round of political consultations between the foreign ministries of the two countries this year. The Kazakh diplomat, in turn, expressed hope for a speedy peaceful resolution of tensions in the Middle East and Lebanon's entry into a period of peace and prosperity.
