In the city of Kyzylorda, servicemen of the National Guard of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan demonstrated heroism by rescuing a man who was drowning in a river.
The incident occurred in the evening on the bank of the Syr Darya River. The man slipped while approaching the water and fell in. The strong current prevented him from getting out, posing a serious threat to his life.
At that moment, servicemen of military unit 5547 — Sergeant Murat Tusekeyev and Junior Sergeant Zhambyl Tansykbai — were nearby. They heard the man’s cries for help and acted without hesitation.
“We were walking along the riverbank when we heard someone shouting, ‘Help!’ Rushing to the scene, we saw a man being carried away by the river’s strong current. He couldn’t get out on his own. Murat ran to grab a rope, and with its help, we managed to pull him out of the water,” said Junior Sergeant Zhambyl Tansykbai.
The rescued man expressed deep gratitude and praised the professionalism of the guardsmen.
This incident clearly shows that the National Guard is always ready to respond in emergency situations and protect lives.
