Karcag, 28 June 2025 – A tourism agency from Shymkent, VisitShymkent, participated as an honored guest in the traditional annual festival of making quyrdak from mutton, in Karcag, the capital of ancient Kipchaks, which once inhabited the territory of present-day Hungary.

          The “RoadShow” event was organized with the support of the Embassy of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Hungary within the framework of the national brand “BornBold”. The presentation aimed to promote the new direct flight route “Shymkent-Budapest-Shymkent” by Scat Airlines and present the tourism opportunities of the southern region.

          During the event, information booklets about tourist services and opportunities in Kazakhstan and in the city of Shymkent were disrtibuted. Shymkent was presented as a new and promising destionation for Hungarian tourists.

          Notably, the city of Karcag symbolizes the enduring fraternal ties between Hungary and Kazakhstan, especially given the region's deep historical roots with the Kipchaks.
