The IV Eurasian Economic Forum was held on June 26-27, 2025 in Minsk. One of the key platforms of the forum was the session “EAEU Law - Status and Prospects”, dedicated to the topical issues of the status and prospects of development of the EAEU legal system.

The participants of the discussion noted the key aspects of the role of the Court of the Union in strengthening the legal foundations of Eurasian integration and ensuring the effective application of the Union's law.

Judge of the Constitutional Court Aizhan Zhatkanbaeva in her speech highlighted the role of constitutional control bodies in ensuring compliance with the EEU law, and presented her expert vision of the system of protection of rights and legitimate interests within the national and supranational legal orders.

She also drew the audience's attention to the decision of the Constitutional Court of Kazakhstan (No. 17-NP of May 22, 2023), according to which the decisions of international organizations and their bodies, adopted without taking into account the interests of Kazakhstan, do not have the properties of a ratified international treaty and, accordingly, do not have priority over the laws of Kazakhstan.

The discussion was attended by representatives of the Ministries of Justice of the Republic of Belarus and the Kyrgyz Republic, the Prosecutor General's Office and the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation, as well as leading lawyers and experts of the Union's member states.
