Ambassador Discussed Transport Potential of Kazakhstan and Pakistan with PRIME

Islamabad, 4 July 2025 – Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Pakistan H.E. Mr. Yerzhan Kistafin held a meeting with Mr. Ali Salman, Director of the Pakistani think tank PRIME (Policy Research Institute of Market Economy).

During the meeting, the parties discussed prospects for establishing cooperation between leading analytical centers of Kazakhstan and Pakistan, including the preparation of joint research reports focused on the transport and logistics potential of the two countries.

Ambassador Yerzhan Kistafin emphasized that Kazakhstan is focused on enhancing its transport development efforts and expressed interest in a multi-level and comprehensive approach covering railway routes, road corridors, air freight and multimodal logistics chains.

Yerzhan Kistafin noted that Kazakhstan and Pakistan have the potential to become key regional transit hubs, where such factors as security and connectivity of transport infrastructure play a crucial role.

Ambassador also informed the Pakistani side about the Business Forum held on 28 April this year in Karachi, during which a number of contracts and memorandums were signed between leading companies of both countries.

The parties highlighted the importance of engaging transport and logistics companies from both sides and coordinating efforts to achieve common strategic objectives.
