Kazakhstan and Brazil Aim to Expand Political Dialogue

Rio de Janeiro, July 5, 2025 — On the sidelines of the BRICS Summit of Member and Partner States, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan Murat Nurtleu met with Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Federative Republic of Brazil Mauro Vieira.
The Kazakh Foreign Minister expressed his gratitude to the Brazilian side for the warm welcome and the high level of organization of the BRICS events under Brazil’s presidency. He also wished Brazil success in preparing for and hosting the 30th United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP30), which will take place in November 2025 in Belém.
During the meeting, the parties discussed a wide range of issues related to bilateral cooperation, interaction within international organizations, as well as current regional and global agendas, including mutual support for initiatives and candidacies in the international arena.
Both sides emphasized the importance of intensifying political dialogue, expanding mutual high- and top-level visits, enhancing interparliamentary cooperation, and deepening trade and economic partnerships, including through the activities of the Kazakhstan–Brazil Business Council. At the conclusion of the meeting, the two foreign ministers exchanged invitations and expressed satisfaction with the positive momentum in Kazakhstan–Brazil relations, reaffirming their commitment to maintaining a regular and constructive dialogue.
