Meeting of the Head of Kazakhstan’s Foreign Ministry with Brazilian Business Leaders

Rio de Janeiro, July 6, 2025 – During his working visit to Brazil, the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Murat Nurtleu, held a series of bilateral meetings with leaders of the National Confederation of Industry (CNI) of Brazil and major companies such as “Embraer”, “Tramontina”, “Vale”, “Marcopolo”, and “Amazul”.

At the meeting with CNI President Ricardo Alban and the Confederation’s Vice President and Co-Chair of the “Kazakhstan–Brazil” Business Council, Gilberto Porcello Petry, the Minister expressed his gratitude for the Confederation’s contribution to expanding cooperation with Kazakh economic entities. He also encouraged increased efforts to attract Brazilian companies to Kazakhstan.

The parties also exchanged views on the upcoming fourth meeting of the “Kazakhstan–Brazil” Business Council, which is scheduled to take place in Kazakhstan later this year.

Günther Brinkmann, a representative of “Tramontina”, also participated in the meeting and announced the company’s intention to open a representative office in the city of Almaty in the near future.

During talks with Francisco Gomes Neto, President of “Embraer” — a major manufacturer of commercial, executive, military, and agricultural aircraft — the parties discussed the company’s future plans in Central Asia and the possibility of establishing a regional service center for aircraft maintenance in Kazakhstan.

In discussions with Sami Arap, Vice President of “Vale”, and Executive Director Marcelo Sampaio, an agreement was reached to organize a visit by company representatives to Kazakhstan to explore opportunities for entering the Kazakh market.

During negotiations with Mauro Bellini, Vice President of “Marcopolo”, the parties discussed prospects for joint production of passenger transport vehicles in Kazakhstan.

With Newton de Almeida Costa Neto, President of “Amazul”, agreements were reached to establish cooperation between Amazul and Kazakhstan’s national atomic company, Kazatomprom.

Throughout the meetings, special emphasis was placed on the investment incentives available to Brazilian investors and the potential for expanding trade relations.

Kazakhstan’s Minister of Foreign Affairs reaffirmed the government’s commitment to providing comprehensive support for the expansion of Brazilian business presence in Kazakhstan and called for active participation in the “Kazakhstan–Brazi” Business Council.
