Geneva, 7 July 2025During the WSIS+20 ceremony in Geneva, Kazakhstan was awarded the top prize in its category at the WSIS Prizes 2025 – one of the world’s most prestigious international competitions in digital innovation, organized by the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) with the support of the United Nations.

Kazakhstan’s winning entry, the “Situational and Analytical Complex” (SAC), was developed by the Engineering and Technical Center of the Presidential Administration of the Republic of Kazakhstan. It is an innovative digital platform designed for data analysis, monitoring, and real-time decision-making in the public sector. The system covers more than 500 indicators of socio-economic development across all 20 regions of the country and provides centralized data collection, processing, and visualization.

SAC is already in use by the Administration of the President and the Office of the President, enhancing transparency and strategic efficiency in state governance.

This marks Kazakhstan’s first victory at the WSIS Prizes since 2013 and is a significant milestone in the international recognition of the country’s digital capabilities. The award was presented by ITU Secretary-General Ms. Doreen Bogdan-Martin in the presence of Member States and representatives of international organizations.
