Today, Marhabat Zhaiymbetov, Deputy of the Mazhilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan, paid a working visit to the city of Baikonur and the village of Toretam.

During the visit, I got acquainted with the implementation of a number of infrastructure projects. In particular, the deputy visited the construction site of a 5,50-apartment apartment building under construction in the city of Baikonur, and received information from representatives of contracting organizations about the quality and timing of the work.

Then the deputy of the Mazhilis got acquainted with the progress of work on the reconstruction of water supply and sanitation systems in the city of Baikonur. Projects in this area are being carried out in order to improve the quality of public services provided to the population.

In addition, the deputy visited the open-air museum, which houses historical and technical exhibitions dedicated to the 70th anniversary of the Baikonur complex. Here are mock-ups of rockets and special equipment launched into space in different years. Today, this open-air complex functions as a museum, providing visitors with the opportunity to get acquainted with the space history of Baikonur. A representative of the Mazhilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan got acquainted with the exhibits of the complex, spoke about the achievements and historical stages of the country's space activities.

The working trip continued with an overview of the major repairs of the Toretam –Akai highway in the village of Toretam. The deputy paid special attention to the quality and construction of repair work and voiced relevant proposals.

Following the visit, the member of the Mazhilis, together with representatives of local executive bodies, noted the need for effective and timely implementation of infrastructure projects and wished success in the work done.
