July 7, 2025, Amsterdam. On the initiative of the Embassy of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the Kingdom of the Netherlands, and in honor of Capital City Day – the Day of Astana – a visual message has been displayed at Schiphol Airport as part of the national Kazakhstan: Born Bold campaign.
Schiphol is one of the largest airports in Europe and a major transportation hub, serving more than 195,000 passengers daily. The choice of this venue offers an effective opportunity to present the modern image of Kazakhstan to a wide international audience – from tourists and businesspeople to representatives of international organizations and the diplomatic community.
The Born Bold concept was first introduced by the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, on September 8, 2024, during the opening ceremony of the World Nomad Games. In his speech, the Head of State emphasized that resilience, determination, and a drive for progress are integral to the national character. The expression "tumysynan kaysar", meaning "Born Bold", became the foundation of this initiative aimed at shaping a resilient and open image of Kazakhstan abroad.
The banner, displayed on one of the central departure zone screens, is designed in a modern and minimalist style. It features the silhouette of Astana along with elements of sustainable energy and advanced technologies: wind turbines, solar panels, and the launch of a space rocket. The central slogan Born Bold is accompanied by the image of a confident young Kazakh woman. A QR code on the screen leads to the website www.boldkazakhstan.com, which provides information about the country’s investment opportunities, tourist routes, and cultural initiatives.
The placement of this visual message at one of the most visited locations in Europe highlights Kazakhstan’s presence in global communication spaces and provides a powerful platform to showcase the country’s key development priorities to an international audience.
