Ways to Strengthen Interparliamentary Relations with Kazakhstan were Discussed in the Polish Sejm

Warsaw, July 9, 2025 – Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Poland, Nurlan Zhalgasbayev, held a meeting with Dorota Niedziela, Deputy Speaker of the Sejm of Poland.
The Kazakh diplomat briefed the Sejm leader on the current state and prospects of bilateral cooperation, reaffirming Kazakhstan’s commitment to the consistent deepening of its multifaceted partnership with Poland. The importance of strengthening political relations through the intensification of interparliamentary dialogue was emphasized. The parties discussed plans to organize reciprocal visits of parliamentary delegations as a means to further expand bilateral engagement.
Special attention was paid to issues related to intensifying trade and economic ties and deepening investment cooperation. The active participation of large Polish businesses in Kazakhstan's economy and the significant potential for further expansion of bilateral economic cooperation were noted.
During the meeting Ambassador Zhalgasbayev also informed the Polish side about the Amnesty Law signed in June this year by President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, in commemoration of the 30th anniversary of the Constitution of Kazakhstan. It was noted that this step fully reflects Kazakhstan’s commitment to further strengthening the principles of justice, humanism, and the rule of law, while also highlighting the constructive role of the Parliament in advancing social initiatives aimed at building an open and law-governed state.
The significant role of the Polish diaspora in Kazakhstan was highlighted as a strong humanitarian and cultural bridge that contributes to fostering mutual understanding and friendship between the peoples of the two countries.
For her part, Deputy Speaker Niedziela congratulated Ambassador Zhalgasbayev on the start of his diplomatic mission and noted that Astana is a key partner for Warsaw in Central Asia. The Deputy Speaker expressed the Sejm’s readiness to support initiatives aimed at expanding trade, economic, and interparliamentary cooperation.
