Servicemen of the National Guard of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan continue to effectively carry out public security duties in the capital as part of their cooperation with police authorities.

During a routine patrol in the Baikonyr district, patrol unit leader Erlan Karzhauov and patroller Nurasyl Musabekov, in cooperation with police officers, detained a woman in possession of a suspicious substance.

The incident occurred on Baraeva Street. The woman’s suspicious behavior caught the attention of the servicemen, prompting them to stop her for an ID check. Upon inspection, a package containing a plant-based substance with a strong odor was found, along with a dropper commonly used for consuming illegal substances.

The patrol officers from military unit 5573 of the National Guard in Astana promptly called in the investigative team. The woman claimed she had allegedly found the package on the street.

Currently, the confiscated substance is undergoing forensic analysis. A procedural decision will be made based on the results of the examination.

It is worth noting that National Guard servicemen, in collaboration with law enforcement officers, continue to maintain public order and ensure the safety of citizens by actively preventing and responding to offenses in cities across Kazakhstan.
