Three convicts released under amnesty in Kyzylorda region

Three convicts were released from the detention center in the Kyzylorda region within the framework of the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan "On Amnesty in connection with the 30th anniversary of the Constitution of the Republic of Kazakhstan."

One of those released from a minimum—security facility is a man sentenced to one year in prison under the article "Fraud". According to the resolution of the Kyzylorda City Court No. 2, the remaining sentence of 5 months was lifted in accordance with the amnesty law.

"I regret the crime I committed. Thanks to the amnesty, I got the opportunity to be released, it will serve as an important life lesson for me. Now my goal is to reunite with my family, get a job, raise my children with dignity, and strictly follow the laws," the released man said.

According to the deputy head of institution No. 37, Nurlan Mukhtarov, the amnesty law applies to 79 convicts in this institution. Of these, seven are subject to full release, while the rest are subject to reduced sentences.

"As of today, three convicts have been released. The documents on the rest are under consideration in court. The work under the amnesty is carried out in accordance with the requirements of the law and in a planned manner," he said.

It should be noted that the law on amnesty applies to more than 200 convicts serving sentences in institutions of the DUIS of the Kyzylorda region.
