In early July 2025, as part of the "Clean Kazakhstan" republican campaign, large-scale Saturday cleaning work was carried out in the Turan district and Saule microdistrict. Employees of social and business facilities in the district, employees of municipal institutions and the district akim's office, as well as residents of the "Military Settlement" actively participated in this campaign. More than 250 people and 11 special equipment were mobilized for the event. As a result, about 15 tons of household and construction waste were removed from the district, and a number of works were carried out to clean and improve the environment.

Saturday work was carried out in several directions:

  • sweeping streets and yards, cleaning closed boxes and residential areas of garbage;

  • replacement of damaged or unusable containers, repair of test areas;

  • In addition to cleaning and cleaning, educate residents about the issue of waste sorting;

  • Transportation of waste to disposal points by municipal vehicles.

These events can be compared with the Sabbath clean-ups of previous years. For example, in 2023, about 150 people and 6 vehicles participated in the Sabbath clean-ups in the district, but only the main areas - streets and parks - were cleaned. And in 2024, the number of participants increased to 180 people and 8 vehicles, but the work was not comprehensive at the regional level, but only territorial. At this year's event, with the joint efforts of service structures and housing, the scope of the Sabbath clean-ups expanded, and work was carried out aimed at strengthening the ecological culture in the territory.

As for the impact on the ecosystem, the environmental impact of the organized events is significant. First, the proper organization of the 15 tons of waste generated will help prevent soil and groundwater contamination. The garbage and plastics removed during the complex cleaning will prevent environmental hazards. Second, with the participation of equipment, the garbage detected will be removed from the addresses, which will eliminate the cluttered appearance of the city and increase its aesthetic appeal. In addition, explanatory work carried out with residents will have a positive effect on the formation of a culture of environmental discipline in the city.

During the Sabbath, civic responsibility towards environmental discipline begins to form. After public buildings, residential areas and territories are cleaned, residents who have adapted to living there begin to adapt to not littering, recycling and sorting. This is a step towards preserving the ecosystem and sustainable development.

The active participation of the residents of the "Military Settlement" in particular demonstrates the need to maintain the cleanliness of places of historical and social significance. This Saturday, organized with the participation of the residents of the glade, was an experience that called on residents to take a responsible attitude towards nature and the environment. If previously these areas were cleaned formally and did not yield effective results, then this year's event demonstrated comprehensive coverage and effective actions.

The 2025 Shabbat event is unique in its environmental impact. It has improved the city's ecosystem and increased people's participation. When assessing the full impact on the city's ecology, it is necessary to include water sources and green areas. Leaving waste separately from plant soil at the disposal site is an important step towards protecting plant life and maintaining clean air.

In this regard, the significance of the Shabbat events is the formation of an equal environmental order and the involvement of residents in society. As a result of the joint work of the city authorities and residents, specific measures were taken in the districts and microdistricts to improve the environment instead of dumping garbage. Unlike previous formal cleaning events, the Shabbat 2025 is inclusive, encourages an ecological culture, and has a positive impact on the urban ecosystem.

In the coming days, the district akimat plans to organize more such seminars, environmental clubs with schoolchildren and young people, and public Sabbaths. Sabbaths are considered a major social campaign aimed not only at preserving the environment, but also at raising the environmental awareness of residents.

In conclusion, the Senbilik, which took place in July 2025, was a significant event in the Turan district and Saule microdistrict, which had a tangible impact on the city's ecosystem, sanitary conditions, and residents' attitudes towards environmental responsibility. It is clear that similar events will continue in this direction. It is being re-examined that a clean environment is a common responsibility for all of us.
