On July 29, the city of Semey hosted a republican seminar-meeting on an integrated approach to the improvement and greening of settlements. The event was chaired by Kuandyk Kazhkenov, Vice Minister of Industry and Construction of the Republic of Kazakhstan, and Abai Sadyr Yerbol, First Deputy Akim of the region.

The seminar was attended by representatives of central and local executive bodies, akimats of cities and districts, as well as experts in the field of urbanism, architecture and ecology, including Chairman of the Committee on Construction and Housing and Communal Services Bakhytzhan Zhunisbekov and Director of the Department of Urban Planning and Housing and Communal Policy Ruslan Lepesov.

The main purpose of the meeting was to discuss effective strategies for creating a comfortable urban environment, improving the level of landscaping and improving the quality of life of citizens. The participants exchanged best practices and ongoing initiatives in the field of landscaping, discussed the challenges and prospects of introducing modern approaches to the development of urban infrastructure.

Special attention was paid at the meeting to the implementation of landscape master plans - comprehensive documents on landscaping and landscaping, successfully implemented in the capital. The experience of Astana was presented as an exemplary example of a sustainable and functional approach to urban environment planning. It was suggested to scale up this practice in the region.

During the seminar, the participants also visited a number of implemented landscaping facilities in Semey, where they got acquainted with current projects and their social impact in practice.

The Ministry of Industry and Construction of the Republic of Kazakhstan will continue to coordinate work on the development of a comfortable, environmentally friendly and modern urban environment, strengthening interdepartmental cooperation and introducing advanced solutions in the field of urbanism.
