A historical and cultural event of global significance took place in the Amangeldy district

On August 5, 2025, the grand opening of the "Wall of National Memory" took place in the Tazh Torgai tourist complex, located in the Amangeldy district of the Kostanay region. It is a unique project of particular importance in the history of Kazakhstan. This significant object is officially registered in the international book of records Global Book of Records.

The main goal of the project is to revive the historical memory of the people, to pass on to the younger generation knowledge about outstanding personalities and fateful events that left their mark on the history of the country. The wall depicts episodes of the Kazakh people's struggle for freedom, key stages in the formation of the national spirit, as well as the names of ancestors who ruled in foreign lands and rest there forever.

The length of the wall is 35 meters, the height is 3 meters 80 centimeters. This is not only an example of architectural art, but also a spiritual center that nurtures national self-awareness.

The author and patron of the project is a well-known public figure, president of the Telep charity foundation, Honorary Citizen of the Amangeldy district Sapar Yskakuly Yskakov. Thanks to his initiative and contribution to the development of national spirituality and historical self-awareness, the monument was brought to life.

The opening ceremony was attended by honorary guests of the republican and international level, historians, representatives of the intelligentsia, media workers and bloggers. The welcoming speech was made by the Deputy Akim of the Kostanay region Bakhytzhan Narymbetov, doctors and candidates of historical sciences, famous experts, who noted the importance of this project for the country.

In particular, the following authoritative specialists were invited to conduct an examination according to international standards:

• Derekh Samir Ali - former Honorary Consul of the Syrian Arab Republic in Kazakhstan (2010-2017);
• Ordenbek Blesbekovich Mazbaev - Doctor of Geographical Sciences, Professor of the Eurasian National University named after L.N. Gumilyov;
• Zhomart Zhenis Zhenisuly - Candidate of Historical Sciences, Deputy Director of the Institute of History and Ethnology named after Sh. Ualikhanov;
• Amanzhol Kuzembaev - Doctor of Historical Sciences, Professor of the Kostanay Regional University named after Akhmet Baitursynov.

During the ceremonial event, the head of the Asian-African region of the Global Book of Records organization Kuandyk Kudaibergenov officially announced the inclusion of the "Wall of National Memory" object in the list of world records.

In honor of this historic moment, young people in national costumes carried the flags of 34 countries, symbolizing peace, friendship and confidence in the future. Songs dedicated to the native land and the history of the country were performed on the stage, ethnic villages worked, exhibitions of folk and applied art were presented, and a concert program was held.

Thanks to this large-scale and meaningful project, the Amangeldy district received international recognition and a new impetus in the development of cultural tourism. This event was a significant step not only for the district, but also for the entire Kostanay region and Kazakhstan as a whole, demonstrating the spiritual potential of the country to the whole world.

The "Wall of National Memory" is a monument that connects the past and present of the people, designed to foster patriotism and historical consciousness in future generations.
