A resident of Ayagoz hit his wife and lost his freedom.

           A 47-year-old Ayagoz resident, previously convicted of cattle rustling, was sentenced to one year in prison.

              In April 2024, the man was registered with the probation service, where an educational conversation was held with him. During which it became clear that the convict is married and has two small children. However, while serving his sentence, in August of the same year, a verbal altercation occurred between the couple, which escalated into physical violence. The man punched his wife in the face several times. For committing this heinous violation, his restriction of liberty was commuted to imprisonment for a period of six months.

            "The court took into account the fact of a violent crime, and therefore the punishment was increased," said Islam Dyusembekov, head of the Ayagoz district probation service.
