Islamabad, July 24, 2026 – Following the agreements reached during the State Visit of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan to Islamabad on February 3-4, 2026, and in accordance with the MoU between the Qazaq Kuresi Association of Kazakhstan and the Pakistan Qazaq Kuresi Federation, as well as the 2026 Roadmap, a delegation of the Qazaq Kuresi Association of Kazakhstan visited Islamabad from July 18 to 24, 2026.

At the Kazakhstan-Pakistan Sports Center «Dostyq» in Islamabad, Kazakh coaches Mr. Nursultan Bauyrzhanuly and Mr. Aidyn Oral conducted comprehensive training seminars and master classes for Pakistani wrestlers and coaches.

Speaking at a press conference, the Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Pakistan, H.E. Mr. Yerzhan Kistafin, noted that this initiative represents the first joint project between Kazakhstan and Pakistan in the field of Qazaq Kuresi and contributes to further strengthening the friendly relations between the two countries. The Ambassador also emphasized that the establishment of the Sports Center «Dostyq» reflects the shared commitment of Kazakhstan and Pakistan to promoting sports diplomacy. He expressed confidence that Pakistani athletes would achieve outstanding results at upcoming international competitions and proudly represent their country on the global stage.

In his remarks, the Secretary General of the Pakistan Qazaq Kuresi Federation, Major N.Afzal, described the initiative as a clear demonstration of the growing friendship and cooperation between the sports federations of Pakistan and Kazakhstan. He reaffirmed the Federation's commitment to promoting Qazaq Kuresi throughout Pakistan by creating favorable conditions for the development of young athletes and the professional advancement of coaches.

The British company RDX, which supplied sports equipment and gear for the Sports Center «Dostyq», presented commemorative gifts (beren) to the visiting delegation from Kazakhstan.

The Embassy of Kazakhstan expresses its sincere appreciation to the leadership of the Qazaq Kuresi Association of Kazakhstan for facilitating the visit of the Kazakh coaches and for their valuable support in the successful implementation of this joint initiative.
