The Department of the Penal Enforcement System for the West Kazakhstan region, together with the Department of Entrepreneurship and Industrial and Innovative Development of the West Kazakhstan Region, RCE Atameken, with the participation of the regional Prosecutor's office, held a working meeting with representatives of the leading industrial enterprises of the region. The event was attended by such companies as the construction company Bolashak LLP, the Ural Transformer Plant, the Ural Foundry, Batys Munai Gaz Zhabdyktau LLP, a plant for the production of oil and gas pipes, Glass Service LLP, a major manufacturer of glass and plastic products, as well as representatives of the Kazakh Invest national company, working with foreign investors on the development of the West Kazakhstan region.

The main topic of the meeting was the discussion of the instructions of the Head of State, announced at the expanded board of law enforcement agencies following the results of the first half of this year. The President emphasized the need to ensure the employment of convicts, create conditions for their re-socialization and return to society with acquired professional skills.

"Entrepreneurs need to consider the possibility of opening various production facilities at penal institutions. Such a mutually beneficial partnership is widespread abroad," the Head of State noted.

В рамках встречи предпринимателям были представлены возможности взаимодействия с учреждениями УИС, включая организацию производственных участков и привлечение осуждённых к трудовой деятельности. По итогам обсуждений ряд бизнесменов выразили заинтересованность и намерение лично ознакомиться с промышленными зонами учреждений и изучить потенциал для совместных проектов.

Данная инициатива направлена на формирование устойчивого партнёрства между уголовно-исполнительной системой и бизнес-сообществом региона, а также на реализацию задач по социальной адаптации и профессиональной подготовке осуждённых.
