The decade-long celebration of Youth Day has ended in Kostanay Region

Today, August 12, Kostanay region, together with the whole country, celebrates International Youth Day. A large-scale decade of events from August 3 to 12 was timed to coincide with this important day in the region, which united sports, cultural and social initiatives for young people of all interests and ages.
From the very beginning of the celebration, Kostanay residents plunged into an atmosphere of activity: a sports and leisure evening with fun competitions, contests and prizes was held on the Central Square. The very next day, the square turned into a karaoke stage, where young people sang their favorite hits.
On August 5, a forum of working youth was held in the I-Qostanay space, the culmination of which was the presentation of the "Uzdik Sheber" award - recognition of the merits of the best of the best professionals in their field. Seven winners received cash certificates in the amount of 100,000 tenge each.
On August 6, Kostanay Arbat opened in the city center - an exhibition of crafts, a parade of street music, bright performances and creative interactive activities in the open air. The atmosphere was reminiscent of the best holidays in the European spirit - with smiles, stylish compositions and a sea of \u200b\u200blight.
On August 7, the Uly Dala Park turned into a summer cinema - viewers enjoyed watching a film in the open air. And already on August 8, young people showed that they can not only have fun, but also take care of their hometown - the Tobol embankment turned into an arena for the environmental quest "Clean Games", where participants competed in cleaning the territory.
Particular attention was paid to supporting youth initiatives. On August 11, a mini-grant competition was held in "Zhastar Sarayi", where initiative groups and volunteer associations received 7 grants of 100,000 tenge each for the implementation of their projects.
One of the key moments of the decade was the youth tournaments in basketball, mini-football and eSports, which took place on August 9-10. These competitions brought together not just players, but also youth teams, clubs and friends for whom sports and games have long been a way of life.
The basketball tournament was attended by 7 of the strongest teams in the city and region, each representing educational institutions, sports clubs or informal youth associations. Interest in the tournament was so high that the spectator stands of the sports complexes were completely filled.
The football tournament was the largest! 32 teams competed at the Zatobolets stadium in Tobyl. Among the participants were schoolchildren, students, young professionals and football fans. The tournament was held in two stages: group and playoff, which made the fight for the million-dollar prize especially intense.
The eSports competitions were no less spectacular, where more than 30 teams from gaming communities and clubs competed.
30 participants demonstrated their FIFA 2025 skills brilliantly - virtual stadiums thundered with emotions, another 20 players in UFC 4 showed real cyber fights with unpredictable endings. The total prize fund for cyber sports was 525,000 tenge, which became a powerful incentive for the participants.
The decade ended on August 12 on the stage of the Uly Dala Park with a concert program "Open Air". The audience was delighted by creative teams, and a solemn award ceremony for the winners of tournaments and active youth of the region was held. Youth leaders, volunteers, athletes and creative talents were awarded with certificates and prizes.
