Islamabad, August 8, 2025 – Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, Y.Kistafin held a meeting with the Federal Minister of Communications of Pakistan Abdul Aleem Khan.

The meeting focused on strengthening cooperation between the two countries, including plans for the second half of 2025. Y.Kistafin emphasized the importance of transport connectivity and informed about Kazakhstan’s intention to intensify the development and modernization of international transport corridors, particularly railways. These efforts are expected to boost trade both bilaterally and at the regional level.

Minister Abdul Aleem Khan supported the proposed initiatives and expressed interest in developing multimodal routes for more efficient logistics. He also assured the Kazakh side that Pakistan intends to complete the reconstruction of the railway infrastructure included in the discussed transport corridor project within the year.
