On 22 July 2026, the "Uzbekistan – Pearl of the Silk Road" Tourism Forum was held in Aktau. The event was organized by the Embassy of the Republic of Uzbekistan in Kazakhstan and the Consulate General of the Republic of Uzbekistan in Aktau.

During the forum, representatives of Uzbekistan's tourism sector presented the country's tourism, investment, and economic potential, highlighting key tourism development priorities, promising projects, and opportunities for cooperation.

The Mangystau Region showcased its tourism potential, ongoing and planned investment projects, and initiatives aimed at developing tourism infrastructure and enhancing the region's attractiveness as a travel destination.

The forum served as an important platform for exchanging experience, establishing new business partnerships, and strengthening tourism cooperation between the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Mangystau Region.
