A Competent Officer Is a Qualified Educator

The National Guard Academy in Petropavlovsk hosted a training and methodological assembly for officer-educators. The important gathering was personally led by Major General Kairat Umbetov, Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the National Guard for Educational and Socio-Legal Work.

The event brought together about 40 officers from across the regions, including deputy commanders of military units, the Academy’s leadership, and service members of the “Bürkit” special unit. The program focused on sharing experience, introducing new approaches in educational work, and discussing the patriotic upbringing of youth.

As part of the assembly, Colonel Arman Butanov, Deputy Head of the Main Directorate for Educational and Socio-Legal Work, delivered an in-depth lecture on the implementation of the interagency program “Law and Order in the Army.” He also explained in detail the responsibilities of officials and procedures for conducting military-patriotic classes and assemblies. Representatives of various units asked relevant questions and jointly sought solutions.

The practical training segment included instructor-methodological classes, knowledge-sharing sessions, and specialized workshops. In addition, participants attended visual training sessions prepared by Colonel Ruslan Belyalov, Deputy Head of the Department of Military Pedagogy and Psychology. Using concrete examples, he demonstrated the moral and psychological state of service members performing duties under crisis conditions and highlighted the role and importance of military psychologists.

Notably, the assembly also featured friendly volleyball matches among the participants. The team from the “Shygys” Regional Command took 1st place, “Ortalyk” won 2nd, and “Ontustik” secured 3rd place. The “Batys” Regional Command team received an honorary diploma for willpower and active participation.

At the conclusion of the event, Major General Kairat Umbetov summed up the results of the training and methodological assembly, instructing participants to further improve the work undertaken. He particularly emphasized the importance of preventing offenses and maintaining strict discipline among personnel.
