Employees of the institution No. 57 DUIS in the Almaty region and the Zhetisu region stopped an attempt to bring prohibited items into the colony. The incident occurred on May 14 of this year at the checkpoint of the institution.

During the inspection of the truck that arrived at the colony, the staff found a suspicious black package. When opened, there were 16 playing cards inside, 200 dollar bills marked "souvenir products", a 25 ml container with an odorless white powder, as well as other items prohibited for transfer. A forensic chemical examination has been ordered.

As it turned out, the driver of the vehicle received this package from a resident of the Almaty region. An investigative task force was called in to investigate the incident.

The head of institution No. 57, Major of Justice Ulan Argynbayev, noted that the staff acted promptly and strictly in accordance with the established instructions.
