On August 15, 2025, Deputy Chairman of the State Revenue Committee of the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Seilzhan Akhmetov, met with Her Excellency Kathy Leach, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland to the Republic of Kazakhstan. This day marked her final day as Head of Mission in Kazakhstan.

     During the meeting, the parties discussed key issues of bilateral cooperation in the customs and tax sphere, noted the positive dynamics of collaboration, and identified promising areas for further development of the partnership.

     The Deputy Chairman expressed gratitude to the Ambassador for her active contribution to strengthening mutual understanding and implementing joint initiatives aimed at simplifying trade procedures, improving the efficiency of customs administration, and sharing best practices.

     In turn, Ambassador Leach thanked the Committee for the constructive and fruitful cooperation during her diplomatic service and reaffirmed the UK’s readiness to continue developing cooperation in all areas.

     At the conclusion of the meeting, both sides exchanged warm words of appreciation and wished each other success in future projects and endeavors.
