The new Tax Code introduces a number of significant changes that directly affect both businesses and citizens. Therefore, it is especially important to ensure that they are properly understood and applied. To this end, the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Kazakhstan has been conducting a large-scale information campaign since August 1 to explain the main provisions of the document in all regions of the country, which will end on September 24.
The information campaign is carried out with the support of akimats and the National Chamber of Entrepreneurs "Atameken". Aktobe region became the ninth region where explanatory meetings were held.
The region is an industrial region of the country with a rich mineral resource base. Large reserves of chromium, nickel, titanium, phosphorites, potash and other minerals are concentrated here.
The application of tax breaks will allow enterprises in the region to maintain their production activities even at the late stages of field development, which, in turn, will ensure the preservation of jobs and stable incomes of the population. These measures will have a direct impact on the quality of life in working-class settlements, will contribute to the development of social infrastructure and strengthen employment.
In his speech, Deputy Chairman of the State Duma of the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Kazakhstan Zhanybek Nurzhanov spoke in detail about conceptual innovations, including new approaches in concepts and terminology, the introduction of differentiated rates for CPN and VAT, a progressive scale for IPN, VAT reform and digitalization of processes, reduction of reporting forms and changes in special tax regimes.
Special emphasis was placed on the transition to a service model of tax authorities, where the quality of interaction with taxpayers comes to the fore.
It was also noted that notifications and impact measures will be applied in stages, depending on the amount owed.
The participants actively asked questions related to the practical application of the new rules, the calculation of taxes at new rates, the use of digital services and the adjustment of previously filed declarations. The speakers responded to all requests, explaining that by the end of the year it is planned to issue methodological recommendations and launch training modules in the applications of the SRG.
"One of the main goals of the new Tax Code is to support small and medium—sized businesses, as well as stimulate priority sectors of the economy through a system of tax breaks," said Zhanybek Nurzhanov.
The next, tenth, seminar in the framework of a series of clarifications of the norms of the tax code will be held on August 25, 2025 in Kyzylorda.
