The Ambassador of Kazakhstan Took Part in the Opening Ceremony of the Buraidah Dates Carnival

Riyadh, August 18, 2025 – At the invitation of the Governor of Al-Qassim Province of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Prince Faisal bin Mishaal Al Saud, the Ambassador of Kazakhstan, Madiyar Menilbekov, took part in the official opening ceremony of the Buraidah Dates Carnival.
During the event, the organizers introduced the Ambassador to various types of dates grown in the central Al-Qassim region and demonstrated the specifics of their production. In an interview with local media, the Ambassador emphasized the importance of developing trade and economic relations between Kazakhstan and Saudi Arabia, including the expansion of cooperation in the agricultural sector.
The Buraidah Dates Carnival is considered the largest festival of its kind in the world and has been included in the Guinness World Records. Last year, sales reached 3.2 billion Saudi riyals (around 850 million US dollars).
This year, the festival is being held from August 20 to September 10 and traditionally attracts farmers, entrepreneurs, as well as buyers from the region and abroad.
