As part of the implementation of the Address of President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev “A Fair Kazakhstan: Law and Order, Economic Growth, Public Optimism” and other instructions of the Head of State, the Government is working to develop trade and expand the country's export potential.

The Government is carrying out systematic work to strengthen the positions of domestic producers, increase the volume of non-resource exports and support small and medium businesses. Transparent rules for doing business are being formed, domestic trade is being developed and infrastructure is being created for the entry of Kazakhstani goods into foreign markets.

In January–July 2025, trade volume increased by 8.6%, and investments in the industry in the first half of the year grew by 37%, reaching 438 billion tenge.
