Addis Ababa, 25 August 2025 – The Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia, Zhalgas Adilbayev, held a meeting with the Chief of Protocol of the President of Ethiopia, Biniam Ephrem Betrework.

​During the meeting, the parties discussed the current state of bilateral cooperation and expressed mutual interest in further developing political dialogue and enhancing collaboration in the areas of trade, economy, investment, science, culture, and humanitarian affairs. An exchange of views also took place on key issues on the international and regional agenda of mutual interest.

​Ambassador Zh.Adilbayev noted Astana’s interest in further expanding the partnership with Addis Ababa, emphasizing the significance of Ethiopia as one of Africa's leading states and an important partner within international organizations.

​The Ethiopian side expressed its readiness to facilitate the development of contacts and highlighted the friendly nature of the relationship between the two countries.

​At the conclusion of the meeting, interlocutors agreed to maintain close contact in order to further strengthen mutually beneficial cooperation between Kazakhstan and Ethiopia.
