A new academic building of the Republican Military College named after the Hero of the Soviet Union Sabyr Rakhimov was solemnly opened in Shymkent. The Minister of Defense of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Lieutenant General of Aviation Dauren Kosanov, the Mayor of Shymkent Gabit Syzdykbekov, veterans of the Armed Forces, the college staff, as well as students of the "Young Soldier" military-patriotic movement attended this important event.

The ceremony began with a wreath-laying ceremony at the monument to Sabyr Rakhimov. The participants observed a minute of silence in memory of the Hero of the Soviet Union, the legendary commander. This was a moment of great educational significance, aimed at instilling in the younger generation respect for history and the heroism of the heroes who defended their country.

The Minister of Defense and the city akim congratulated the participants on the opening of the new educational building and expressed their warm wishes. In his speech, the city akim Gabit Syzdykbekov noted the contribution of the military college to the educational process, noting that thanks to the professionalism of the teaching staff, young people are instilling such important values as duty to the Motherland, honor and patriotism. He expressed confidence that future officers will continue the glorious military traditions in ensuring the security and stability of our sovereign country.

In turn, Minister of Defense Dauren Kosanov expressed his gratitude to the city administration for their constant assistance and close cooperation in the improvement of military units and facilities, as well as social support for garrison personnel. As a sign of respect, the Minister presented the city akim with the departmental medal "Defender of the Nation" of the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

During the event, the best military personnel were awarded, and the college personnel marched in formation. In addition, the guests were presented with elements of hand-to-hand combat and samples of military equipment. At the end of the event, the delegation toured the new educational building, a modernly equipped library and museum, a military canteen and a gym, and got acquainted with the material and technical base of the educational institution.

The new training building will provide a great opportunity to improve the quality of military education, improve the professional and physical training of future officers. This initiative was assessed as an important step towards strengthening the country's defense.
