A meeting of convicts with the participation of Police Department officers was held at institution No. 28 of the Department of the Penal Enforcement System in the West Kazakhstan region.

During the meeting, the police representatives conducted explanatory work on countering drug crime, recalled the criminal liability for drug trafficking and drew attention to the consequences of their use.

The main purpose of the event is to form a negative attitude towards drug addiction among convicts and to prevent repeated offenses after release.

The work was also attended by employees of the penal correction system and representatives of the media.

Such preventive measures are carried out systematically and are aimed at preventing recidivism and the successful rehabilitation of convicts.
