Muscat, September 5, 2025, theAmbassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan to theSultanate of OmanAidarbek Tumatov metwith the Chief International Banking Relations Officer of «Sohar International» Bank - Aziz Al Jahdhami.

The parties discussed in detail the most promising areas of investment, trade and economic cooperation between Kazakhstan and Oman. In particular, the Omani side expressed interest in the work of the banking sector and the investment opportunities of Kazakhstan.

The Ambassador informed about the current state of the banking sector, the main development trends, assets and activities of the largest actors in the financial market of Kazakhstan. He noted that the domestic banking sector is showing steady growth, as evidenced by the increase in assets and net profit. The financial market is actively developing due to the introduction of the latest digital technologies and the emergence of new banking products.

Following the meeting, the parties reached an agreement to organize a visit of the Sohar International Bank delegation to Kazakhstan in the near future to discuss issues of cooperation with financial organizations and interested government bodies.
