Kazakhstan and Saudi Arabia Noted the Positive Dynamics of Bilateral Trade Growth
09.09.2025 08:10:51 71Riyadh, September 8, 2025 – Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Saudi Arabia Madiyar Menilbekov held negotiations with the Acting Governor of the General Authority of Foreign Trade (GAFT) of the Kingdom Abdulaziz Al-Sakran.
During the meeting participants reviewed current issues of cooperation in the field of trade, as well as discussed upcoming joint events aimed at developing trade and economic interaction.
The parties noted the positive dynamics of the increase in bilateral trade between the countries. In particular, in January-July 2025, bilateral trade reached $7.1 million and increased by 25% compared to the same period of the last year.
In this context, the participants of the meeting emphasized the significant potential for building up bilateral partnership and agreed to continue working on increasing trade turnover and expanding the range of exports goods, as well as providing specific support to business representatives of the two countries.
The General Authority of Foreign Trade (GAFT), established by the resolution of the Council of Ministers in 2019, is a governmental organization with financial and administrative independence and has broad authority in the field of foreign trade. As part of its activities, GAFT develops foreign trade policy and strategy, coordinates the activities of the government and private sectors, and represents the interests of the Kingdom in regional and international trade organizations and forums.
