National training on small arms and light weapons for Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan

         A national training has commenced in Astana September 15-19, 2025,within the framework of the Central Asia and Caucasus Security Program (hereinafter – CCASP).
        The program was initiated by the World Customs Organization with the support of the Government of Japan.
        The training is attended by representatives of the State Revenue Committee of the Ministry of Finance of the     Republic of Kazakhstan and the State Customs Service under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic.
        The purpose of the event is to strengthen the capacity of customs authorities in detecting and preventing the illicit trafficking of small arms and light weapons, as well as to counter new challenges related to the use of unmanned aerial vehicles and advanced technologies, including 3D printing.
       The training features the following lecturers:
      * Adam Vas – WCO CCASP Project Lead Trainer;
      * Vesna Vrachar – WCO CCASP Project Expert-Trainer.
