On August 18-19, 2025, a delegation from the Hungarian company Aranynektár Kft, led by its founder and CEO Mr. Ferenc Fulmer, paid a working visit to Astana.
The purpose of the visit was to explore Kazakhstan’s investment potential in the beekeeping sector, establish connections with local honey producers, and examine prospects for localizing processing facilities in the country. During the trip, representatives of Aranynektár Kft visited several regions, met with local beekeepers, and familiarized themselves with current production conditions.
The official program in Astana included meetings with the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Republican Beekeepers' Chamber, and the national company QazTrade. Discussions focused on government support measures for the agro-industrial complex, tools for promoting export products, ways to improve the quality of Kazakh honey, and the potential for establishing joint processing facilities in Kazakhstan aimed at international markets.
Special attention was given to meeting international quality standards, including those of the European Union. The agreement on a veterinary certificate for the export of Kazakh honey to the EU, reached in early 2025, has opened new opportunities for expanding exports and strengthening the position of Kazakh honey under the “Made in Kazakhstan” brand in foreign markets.
Aranynektár Kft reaffirmed its interest in long-term cooperation, including educational programs for Kazakh beekeepers, joint marketing initiatives, and the creation of a sustainable export chain fully aligned with principles of environmental responsibility and product traceability.
This visit marked another significant step in advancing investment cooperation between Kazakhstan and Hungary in the agro-industrial sector. It reflects the shared commitment to enhancing practical collaboration, including through investment in the processing and export of Kazakh honey.
The visit was organized with the active support of the national company Kazakh Invest, which provides comprehensive assistance in localizing foreign production and developing export-oriented projects in Kazakhstan.
