Amman, September 15, 2025 – The Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, H.E. Mr. Talgat Shaldanbay, met with the Mayor of Amman, H.E. Dr. Yousef Al-Shawarbeh.
The parties discussed prospects for strengthening cooperation between the two capitals, emphasizing the special importance of cultural and humanitarian interaction and the practical implementation of the agreements reached following the visit of King Abdullah II to Kazakhstan.
The meeting also covered the organization of reciprocal visits, the celebration of the 20th anniversary of the Sister-City Agreement, and the holding of joint events.
The Ambassador noted that the interaction between the capitals reflects the maturity of the political dialogue and the shared cultural values of the two nations, while also opening new opportunities in the trade, economic, and humanitarian spheres.
The Kazakh diplomat briefed his interlocutor on the key points of President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev’s state-of-the nation address of September 8, «Kazakhstan in the Age of Artificial Intelligence: Current Challenges and Their Solutions through Digital Transformation».
For his part, the Mayor of Amman expressed interest in developing cultural, business, and digital partnerships with Astana, praised Kazakhstan’s achievements in digital transformation, and positively noted the official visit of King Abdullah II to Kazakhstan on August 26-27 this year, thanking the Kazakh side for the warm reception of the Jordanian delegation.
At the conclusion of the meeting, both sides confirmed their readiness to maintain regular contacts and jointly develop measures aimed at the steady advancement of bilateral cooperation.
