On September 6, 2025, as part of the nationwide environmental campaign "Taza Kazakstan," employees and entrepreneurs of one of the city's largest retail outlets, the Avtonur Market, held a large-scale cleanup day in Shymkent. Participants cleared the surrounding area of trash, carried out landscaping and planting trees, thereby making a significant contribution to the overall goal of maintaining cleanliness and improving the environmental situation.

The main goal of this cleanup day was not only to clean up a specific area but also to draw the attention of city residents to environmental issues. Participants wanted to show by personal example that cleanliness and beautification are not a one-time event, but a daily responsibility of every citizen.

Market management emphasized that participation in such events instills a sense of responsibility for the environment among employees and encourages shoppers to be more environmentally friendly.

During the cleanup, several activities were organized in and around the market:

  • Garbage collection. Workers removed household waste, plastic, bags, and other items that littered the area.

  • Roads and sidewalks were repaired. The parking area and access roads were cleared.

  • Landscaping. Staff planted new trees and shrubs and watered existing green spaces.

  • Sanitation. We disinfected waste accumulation areas and areas frequented by large numbers of people on a daily basis.

As a result of the cleanup, over 10 tons of waste were removed, which clearly demonstrated the great need for regular sanitation measures at public facilities.

The activity of Avtonur's employees deserves special attention. Each worker found a job: some planted trees, others cleared ditches, and still others swept the surrounding area. This not only helped them cope with the large volume of work but also strengthened team spirit.

Entrepreneurs operating at the market also joined the process. They tidied up the area around their stores themselves, proving that responsibility for cleanliness lies not only with utility services but with each individual.

Market employees and visitors noted the importance of the event.

Saudager Kanat shared his impressions:
" We spend a lot of time at work every day, and it's important that the place where we work is clean. This affects both our health and the mood of our customers. I think if such events were held more often, people would become more environmentally conscious."

Aygul, a customer who witnessed the event, also noted the importance of the initiative:
" It's great to see the market staff coming together to clean up the area. It's a good example for all city residents. We want our Shymkent to be clean and beautiful."

Events like these help develop environmental awareness among the population. The campaign demonstrated that maintaining cleanliness is only possible through joint efforts. Avtonur became an example of how a single enterprise can impact the overall health of the urban environment.

City authorities praised the initiative and emphasized that the activity of such groups helps systematically improve the environmental situation in the metropolis.

The Avtonur market administration announced that it does not intend to limit itself to a single cleanup day. In the future, it plans to hold similar events regularly, as well as implement new practices:

  • installation of additional containers for separate waste collection,

  • organization of collection points for plastic and waste paper,

  • conducting educational talks among employees and customers about the importance of waste sorting,

  • an initiative to involve young people and students in environmental campaigns.

These steps should not only improve cleanliness but also change citizens' attitudes towards the environment.

The cleanup day held on September 6, 2025, at the Avtonur market was a shining example of how collective initiative can yield tangible results.

  • Several hectares of territory were cleared,

  • tens of tons of garbage were removed,

  • new trees have been planted,

  • Sanitary treatment was carried out.

But most importantly, the event strengthened people's understanding that keeping the city clean starts with each person.

"Avtonur" demonstrated that if every team and organization actively participates in environmental initiatives, our city will become not only cleaner but also more comfortable to live in.
