On September 8 , 2025, the Karatau municipal state institution, which contributes to the cleanliness and beautification of the city of Shymkent, organized another Saturday work . This event was aimed at improving the quality of life of city residents, improving the level of landscaping, and strengthening environmental culture.

The main goal of the Sabbath is to maintain cleanliness in the city, remove garbage, maintain green areas, and improve public spaces. Such activities not only increase the environmental responsibility of residents, but also contribute to their active participation in the common cause.

On September 8, the institution's employees and volunteer residents jointly carried out the following work:

• Garbage collection and disposal: household waste collected on streets, yards, and parks was removed using special equipment.

• Maintenance of green areas: trees and shrubs were trimmed and excess growth was removed. Ornamental tree seedlings were also planted on city streets.

• Roadside cleaning: grass along the street was mowed and garbage in the ditches was removed.

• Irrigation systems were put in order: canals carrying rainwater and household water were cleaned and conditions were created for the normal circulation of water.

• Improvement of public spaces: benches were painted and minor repairs were made to playgrounds.

All of these works were aimed at creating a comfortable and convenient environment for city residents.

Not only employees of the institution, but also schoolchildren, students, and local residents took part in the Saturday. The activity of young people was especially noticeable: they planted trees with their own hands and helped clean the flower beds.

"If we all work together, our city will become cleaner and more beautiful," noted one of the volunteers who participated in the cleanup.

The municipal state institution "Karatau" focuses not only on garbage collection through Saturdays, but also on promoting environmental culture . Explanatory work was carried out among residents on sorting household waste and separate collection of plastic and glass.

This step will pave the way for future improvements in the city's waste management sector and more efficient use of natural resources.

According to the institution's management, such sabbaticals will continue every month. According to the plan, additional landscaping work will be carried out in several parks and residential areas by the end of the year.

In addition, the Karatau Municipal Unitary Enterprise, in collaboration with other organizations of the city, intends to hold tree planting campaigns and sanitation months.
