On September 13, 2025, a city-wide Saturday event called "Clean City" was organized in the Dostyk microdistrict of the Abay district of Shymkent. The district akimat, municipal institutions, departments, and various organizations actively participated in the large-scale event and contributed to ensuring cleanliness.

The main goal of this Saturday was to keep the city clean in terms of sanitation, improve the quality of life of residents, increase environmental culture, and mobilize society for a common cause. Cleaning in the city was considered not only a beautification measure, but also an important factor in protecting public health.

During the weekend, extensive cleaning work was carried out in the district. In particular:

Each department performed its duties and acted in harmony.

For example, the Department of Culture organized a small concert program to encourage participants in the Sabbath, while the Department of Transport and Road Infrastructure provided equipment to clean roadside ditches.

Along with municipal services, the district youth resource center, volunteer movement, and residents also showed their activity. Young people in particular showed great support: they helped clean the streets, whitewash trees, and sort garbage.
