On September 20 , 2025, another nationwide Saturday was held in Shymkent as part of the " Clean Kazakhstan " republican environmental campaign. This event, which has become a tradition for city residents, not only calls for unity in society, but also makes a significant contribution to the formation of a culture of environmental protection.

Environmental cleanliness is the common duty of every citizen. Ecological culture plays a special role in the beautification of the city and improving the quality of life of residents. The Shymkent clean-up was aimed at achieving this goal. Parks, streets, public recreation areas and pedestrian paths in the city were cleaned of garbage and landscaping work was carried out.

Almost all institutions under the jurisdiction of the Shymkent City Department of Culture, Language Development and Archives were involved in this event. In particular, the management and staff of the Shymkent City Theater of Humor and Satire showed great organization and actively participated in the cleaning work. Just as the theater staff raise relevant issues in society in their creative work and stage performances, they also did not refrain from promoting environmental culture in everyday life.

During the weekend, the theater team cleaned the city's central streets, the area around the theater building, and pedestrian paths. They also made a real contribution to nature protection by participating in landscaping, whitewashing the bases of trees, cutting down dead branches, and planting young seedlings.

The theater director, who participated in the Sabbath, noted the special place of the cultural sector in society:
"We try to convey not only funny things on stage, but also thought-provoking things. And today's Saturday is an event that proves that artists are active not only in art, but also in public life. If each of us keeps our yard and workplace clean, our city will become more beautiful ," he said.

The young actors of the theater also paid special attention to this event. For them, the Sabbath was not just a garbage collection, but also an opportunity to raise the collective spirit and serve a common goal together with the public.

Along with cultural representatives, the city's educational organizations, healthcare institutions, businesses, and volunteer movements also showed their activity. The participants of the Sabbath worked together and carried out cleaning work in every district of the city. Thus, about several hundred tons of household waste were removed from the city, and the improvement work was significantly progressed.

Another important goal of the Sabbath is to form an ecological culture among the population. In this regard, the participation of representatives of the cultural sphere was of particular importance. After all, art groups work directly with the people, and their words and actions quickly spread throughout society. Therefore, the appeal of theater workers to cleanliness is an example for the public.

The youth of Shymkent did not stay away from the clean-up campaign. They spread information about the clean-up campaign on social networks and called for the protection of nature. This initiative not only demonstrates the active civic position of young people, but also proves that the new generation is committed to environmental responsibility.

As a result of the clean-up, the city streets were significantly cleaner. The unity, organization, and responsibility of the participants made a great contribution to the beautification of the city. The event, held as part of the "Clean Kazakhstan" campaign, once again proved the importance of environmental education and showed the need for every citizen to take part in protecting nature.

Representatives of the cultural sector expressed their support for holding this event as an annual tradition and called on city residents to actively participate in such noble initiatives.

The city-wide Saturday event held on September 20 was of great importance for the residents of Shymkent. In particular, the activity shown by representatives of the culture and arts sector contributed to the formation of an ecological culture in society.

This event is not just a one-day clean-up, but a moral act that will be passed on to future generations. For the city's residents, this Sabbath is clearly a step towards caring for nature and beautifying our common home - Shymkent.
