On September 20, 2025, a special environmental event took place in Shymkent. On this day, at the initiative of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, a citywide cleanup day was organized as part of the Clean Kazakhstan national project. The Shymkent city branch of the AMANAT party organized the event. Branch employees, activists from the youth wing of Zhastar Ruhy, utility workers, and a special guest, popular pop singer Serikbol Sailaubek , participated in the event.
The main goal of the "Clean Kazakhstan" project is not only to conduct one-time cleanups but also to foster environmental awareness and responsibility in society. Each cleanup day is an investment in the country's future, an opportunity to join forces to keep our cities and nature clean.
This time, the participants' attention focused on areas where residents most frequently gather. The courtyards of multi-story buildings, playgrounds, and green spaces were cleaned. Particular attention was paid to the improvement of the area around the party branch building—they tidied up the area, whitewashed trees, and removed trash. All this gave the city streets a more well-maintained appearance.
A distinctive feature of the event was the involvement of a wide range of social groups. Along with party officials, members of the youth wing of "Zhastar Rukhy" actively participated. Their energy, activism, and example were infectious to many other participants. The young people demonstrated a sense of responsibility for the city in which they live.
The city's public utilities also made a significant contribution. Specialized waste removal vehicles and grounds cleaning equipment were brought in. Thanks to this, the cleanup was organized and effective.
The participation of renowned artist Serikbol Sailaubek attracted particular attention. Despite his popularity, he and the other participants took up the work, picking up trash and helping to clean up the mess. His simplicity and willingness to work alongside the city residents earned him respect. In his address, the singer emphasized that caring for the environment is everyone's responsibility, and it is especially important to involve young people in such initiatives.
City residents also got involved. Many, seeing their courtyards being cleaned, volunteered to help. People helped take out trash, collected dry branches, and swept sidewalks. Residents say such events not only make the city cleaner but also bring neighbors closer together and foster friendships.
Participants noted that cleanup days should be held regularly. Cleanliness and order should be the norm, not the exception. This is how we can develop a habit of caring for nature.
The event's organizers reminded that environmental awareness is not just about cleaning up litter, but also about caring for water, air, and plants. Building an environmental awareness begins with simple actions: not littering the streets, conserving resources, and preserving green spaces.
Particular attention was paid to children. Many families brought their children to the cleanup day, showing them by example that cleanliness is a shared responsibility. This kind of education from an early age instills in the younger generation a respect for nature and the habit of caring for it.
The cleanup effort clearly demonstrated that keeping the city clean is the shared responsibility of all residents. Party officials, young people, municipal services, cultural representatives, and ordinary citizens worked shoulder to shoulder. Such collaboration builds trust in society and unites people around important goals.
The cleanup day proved once again that any difficulties can be overcome together. Every person, even by cleaning just one yard or one street, makes a significant contribution to the improvement of the entire city.
As a result of the event, several tons of trash were collected and removed. The city became noticeably cleaner, and most importantly, the participants experienced positive emotions, a boost of energy, and the confidence that together they can change the environment for the better.
The Shymkent branch of the AMANAT party emphasized that work under the Clean Kazakhstan project will continue. Such events will become regular, involving an ever-increasing number of participants.
The recent cleanup day was more than just a cleanup. It was an expression of civic responsibility, patriotism, and concern for the future. A clean city means comfortable living conditions, healthy residents, and an attractive metropolis.
Today, every resident of Shymkent should understand that street cleanliness depends on each individual's personal contribution. If we protect the environment, avoid littering, and help keep it clean, our city will become even more beautiful and comfortable.
