A seminar on explaining the norms of the new Tax Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan was held in Almaty today, organized by the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the State Revenue Committee, together with the National Chamber of Entrepreneurs of the Republic of Kazakhstan "Atameken". The event brought together more than 800 participants – representatives of business, government agencies and NCE "Atameken".

Vice Minister of Finance Yerzhan Birzhanov and Deputy Chairman of the State Revenue Committee of the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Kazakhstan Zhanybek Nurzhanov presented the main amendments to the new Tax Code aimed at simplifying tax administration and creating favorable conditions for entrepreneurs, including reducing the volume of tax reporting by 30%, transferring desk inspections to a preventive format, eliminating automatic account blocking, simplifying procedures for granting deferrals and installments on tax obligations, reducing the number of special tax regimes to three, etc.

Special attention was paid at the meeting to the taxation of the self-employed and small businesses. Zhanybek Nurzhanov said that flexible and understandable special tax regimes will be introduced for businesses and the self-employed from January 1, 2026. This will reduce bureaucratic procedures and allow entrepreneurs to focus on business development rather than complex reporting and inspections.

"The new Tax Code will create a more transparent and understandable system, reduce the administrative burden and become an incentive for the development of entrepreneurship and the country's economy," Yerzhan Birzhanov noted.

Timur Zharkenov, Deputy Chairman of the Board of the National Chamber of Entrepreneurs of the Republic of Kazakhstan Atameken, stressed the importance of constructive interaction between the state and business in the implementation of new standards.

A question and answer session was held after the speakers' speeches. The seminar participants actively asked questions both in the audience and online through a QR code posted on information flyers. In addition, it was possible to send questions in writing through volunteers. This format provided an open dialogue and allowed discussing the most relevant topics directly with experts and developers of the draft law.

The next seminar within the framework of a series of clarifications of the norms of the Tax Code will be held on September 24, 2025 in Astana.
