September 23, 2025, New York - President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev held a meeting with United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres, during which the parties discussed the agenda of the UN General Assembly session.

President Tokayev reaffirmed Kazakhstan’s continued support for the Organization and its commitment to actively contributing to the UN’s central role in promoting peace, stability, and sustainable development.

As part of the meeting, a Memorandum on the functioning of the UN Regional Centre for Sustainable Development Goals for Central Asia and Afghanistan was signed in the presence of the President and the Secretary-General.
