Abu Dhabi, September 24, 2025 – The international “AI Futures Summit – Empowering Higher Education” was held at Khalifa University in the United Arab Emirates, with the participation of the Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Sayasat Nurbek.

Speaking at the panel session “Shaping National Futures Through Policy, Partnerships, and Innovation,” Mr.Nurbek outlined Kazakhstan’s strategic initiatives in digitalizing higher education and science, as well as in advancing artificial intelligence.

On the sidelines of the Summit, the Minister held bilateral meetings with Professor Amr Ezzat Salama, Secretary-General of the International Association of Universities; Professor Nathalie Martial-Brazben of Sorbonne University Abu Dhabi; and Mr. Kamran Kardan, CEO of the organizing company “Knowledge E.” The discussions focused on expanding cooperation in higher education and scientific research.

As a result, agreements were reached to strengthen collaboration between Kazakhstani and leading international universities, including the development of joint scientific projects and academic programs.
