Mayor of Astana Zhenis Kassymbek Announces Construction of a New Agro-Industrial Complex in the Capital

On his Instagram page, Mayor of Astana Zhenis Kassymbek reported on the construction of a new integrated agro-industrial complex in the city.

"All key economic indicators show positive growth dynamics in the capital. Investment in fixed assets over the past seven months amounted to 1.2 trillion tenge, which is 42.1% higher compared to the same period last year. These include projects in manufacturing, healthcare, education, transport, logistics, and other sectors.

This year, 55 investment projects are planned to be commissioned, with a total investment volume of 300 billion tenge. These projects will create 3,600 new jobs.

With the support of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan, construction has begun in Astana on an integrated agro-industrial complex for the deep processing of grain and leguminous crops. The project is being implemented by Kazak Protein, established by Turkey’s Tiryaki Agro Holding in cooperation with Kazakhstan’s Grain Consortium LLP and ADOtex LLP. The total investment volume amounts to USD 320 million, and around 400 new jobs will be created.

Completion of the two construction phases is scheduled for 2028. The first phase, focusing on deep wheat processing, will be completed in 2027, and the second phase, focused on legumes, in 2028.

The production capacity will reach 250,000 tons of wheat and 80,000 tons of legumes per year. The complex will produce gluten, starch, lysine, compound feed, plant protein isolates, and other products. The finished goods are expected to be supplied to both domestic and export markets."
