On September 29, 2025, Örken East Kazakhstan Regional Scientific and Methodological Center for Informatization and Education Development of Education Administration of East Kazakhstan region held the regional competition “Best Abai Study Classroom”.

The goal of the competition was to assess the current state of the classrooms for Abai studies, enhance the significance of the elective course “Abai Studies” (Abaitanu), facilitate the exchange of teaching practices, and share best practices. 

The competition was attended by teachers of the Kazakh language and literature from schools with the Kazakh and Russian languages of instruction.  

A total of 9 submissions were reviewed from the following districts and cities:

Ust-Kamenogorsk, Zaisan, Glubokoe, Katon-Karagai, Samar, Tarbagatai, Ulan, Ulken Naryn, and Shemonaiha. The districts that did not submit their works: Altai, Markakol, Kurchum and Ridder town.

The works of the participants were evaluated by the jury.

Following the results of the competition, the awards went to:

First Degree Diploma - M.T. Kabdiyeva, a teacher of the Kazakh language and literature of Abai Secondary School of Education Department of Samar district;

Second Degree Diploma - A. Alibekova, A. Serik, teachers of the Kazakh language and literature of Secondary School No. 1 of Education Department of Belousovka settlement of Glubokoe district;

Second Degree Diploma - A.S. Zharmanayeva, a teacher of the Kazakh language and literature of K. Damitov Secondary School of Education Department of Ulken-Naryn district;

Third Degree Diploma - E.E. Mamyrbekov, a teacher of the Kazakh language and literature of School No. 48 - Center for Additional Education of Education Department of Ust-Kamenogorsk city;

Third Degree Diploma - T.S. Mukhamadiyeva, a teacher of the Kazakh language and literature of Karatal Secondary School of Education Department of Zaisan district;

Third Degree Diploma - G.B. Kanapiyanova, a teacher of the Kazakh language and literature of T. Ryskulov Secondary School of Education Department of Tarbagatai district.

Special nominations were awarded to:

“Digital literacy” - A.Zh. Duissenbekova, a teacher of the Kazakh language and literature of Tavriya Secondary School of Education Department of Ulan district;

“Creative teacher” - R.S. Rakishev, a teacher of the Kazakh language and literature of Seitkamza Lastayev Secondary School of Education Department of Katon-Karagai district;

“Creative teacher” - M.I. Imanbayeva, a teacher of the Kazakh language and literature of Kamyshinka Secondary School-Kindergarten of Shemonaikha district.

The winners of the competition were awarded diplomas, and the winners of the nominations received Certificates of Honour.
