From September 28 to 29, servicemen of the National Guard of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan took part in the Republican Kazakh Kures Tournament “Äskeri Barysy”.

The competition was organized by the Central Sports Club of the Army of the Republic of Kazakhstan and was held in one weight category — over 90 kilograms. More than 44 athletes representing 20 teams from various military units competed.

As a result of intense competition, Private First Class Zhandos Seitenov, a chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear defense platoon soldier of military unit 5573, won a well-deserved third place, demonstrating a high level of training and strong spirit.

In addition, the Republican Kazakh Kures Tournament dedicated to the memory of Akhmet Baitursynov was held in the city of Kostanay. At this event, Senior Sergeant Bekzat Altynbaev, also of military unit 5573, secured third place, once again confirming the strong athletic performance of the Guardsmen.

The participation of servicemen of the National Guard in such sporting competitions strengthens combat spirit and physical endurance, while also promoting national sports among young people and military personnel.
