Today, on the occasion of October 1 – International Day of Older Persons, District Akim Zhandos Erkinbek ceremonially saw off the district’s veterans who departed for the sacred city of Turkistan, extending his warm wishes.
During the send-off, the district head said:
“In the past, you worked tirelessly for the bright future of our country and made a great contribution to the development of our district. Even today, despite being of retirement age, you remain active in public life and continue to guide and support the younger generation. For these exemplary deeds, we express our sincere gratitude. We believe this journey will enrich you with knowledge, inspiration, and spiritual renewal. May your trip be successful and your path blessed!”

This educational and cultural trip, organized at the initiative of the district akimat, is a demonstration of respect and care for the elder generation.
It should be noted that this good tradition has continued since 2021. Every year, district veterans are sent on special trips to historically and spiritually significant places such as Turkistan, Kyzylorda, Baikonur, and the Korkyt Ata memorial complex. Currently, there are about 5,700 veterans in the district. In the future, they will be gradually sent on such meaningful journeys.
